MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
The Ministry of Education provides assistance to needy Singapore students in Government or Government-Aided schools.
To apply, your household must have a Gross Household Income (GHI) of less than or equal to s$4000 per month.
If GHI is more than $4,000, family’s Per Capita Income must be less than or equal to $1,000.
MOE FAS Benefits
100% subsidy of school and miscellaneous fees
Free textbooks and school attire
Subsidy for 10 meals per school week from month of approval
Public transport subsidy of $21 per month from month of approval for students taking public transport
How to apply?
Parents/Guardians who wish to apply for MOE FAS can apply online at https://go.gov.sg/moe-efasggas. Application forms are also available from the school and MOE website. You can return the completed form to the school and the school will inform you of the outcome.
Parents with children studying in different schools need to submit only one application form for all your school-going children to one of their schools. The school which receives the application form will inform you of the outcome for all the children.
Unsuccessful MOE FAS applicants will be considered for our School-based FAS. The school will inform the applicant if he/she is eligible for the School-based FAS.
