Tampines is a caring community. We believe all Tampinesians can and should look out for one another.
Don't be afraid to share your problems with your friends or your teachers! We are all here to help and support.
However, if you feel that your concerns need special attention from a professional, here are some other avenues to explore:
School counselling is a collaborative process where the school counsellor facilitates the expansion of the students’ view of life, enlarges their repertoire of coping resources and enables them to make choices for change in themselves, the situation and the environment, without destructive consequences to self or others.
To make an appointment with the school counsellor, students may seek the assistance of their form teachers to notify the school counsellors. Students can also approach the school counsellors directly. Their offices are located at Level One, Block K.
Social service agencies and helplines are based in the community to provide support to individuals and families in need, by helping them to better cope with their personal, social and emotional challenges in their lives. To seek assistance from a social service agency, you may contact them directly at the following phone numbers and hotlines.

The GEAR-UP (Guiding & Empowering Students for Affiliation & Resilience to Unlock their Potential) Programme is intended as a school-based integrated support program to enhance students’ learning motivation, strengthening school connectedness and building resilience.
The program is aimed at
· providing a safe and supportive environment
· building positive relationships through significant adults and positive peer groups
· providing opportunities to grow and contribute through service and learning
At TPSS, our GEAR-UP activities are held at D’Hangout — a special room at Level One, Block K, designed to support varied after-school programmes and activities.
While D’Hangout regularly hosts activities for members, it also opens its doors to all students on selected days of the week for unstructured play and relaxation.
If you are interested in joining the GEAR-UP Programme, simply let your Year Head know or drop by D’Hangout during opening hours to sign up with the teacher on duty.
