First Day of School Matters
Reporting Details
The new school year begins on Tuesday, 3 January 2023!
Students are to report to the parade square (or classroom in the event of inclement weather) by 7.40 am.
Student Leaders will be stationed to provide directions, and signage will also be put up to navigate you on your first day.
Students are to bring along the following items:
Working thermometer
Water bottle
Light snacks for snack break
Stationery
Notebook
Book for reading
Attire and Appearance
Attire
Students are required to report in:
Full-school uniform (Mondays & Wednesdays)
Half-school uniform (PE T-shirt with pants/skirt) - Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
For the first week of school, students are allowed to report in half-school uniform.
Students who have not managed to purchase their uniforms due to the home delivery and self-collection modes may wear their primary school uniform for the first week of school.
Class Synergy Programme
Secondary 1 StaRs can look forward to a four-day Class Synergy Programme on 3 to 6 January 2023.
The aim of this orientation programme is to provide a smooth transition into a new school environment.
The programme will provide you with opportunities to get to know your school, learning experiences at SSS, your Form Teachers, and your classmates. The activities are led by your very own seniors, who are student leaders from the Prefectorial Board as well as vendors who are experienced in conducting transition programmes.
We assure Secondary 1 StaRs that you will be well-guided and the experience of being in an unfamiliar environment will be a great one!
Secondary 1 StaRs will be dismissed at:
1.30pm on Tuesday to Thursday, 3 - 5 January 2023
12.30pm on Friday, 6 January 2023
Class Timetable
The class timetable will be made available on our school's website by Friday, 6 January 2023.
Students will also receive a copy of the timetable from their Form Teachers in the first week of school.
