Mr Penny D’ Rozario was a teacher in St. Stephen’s from 1957 to 31 August 1967. At the age of 17, he started teaching at St. Patrick’s School and was appointed to teach at St. Stephen’s School when it was opened. Mr Penny D’ Rozario was one of our pioneer teachers. He took part in the march from St. Patrick’s School to St. Stephen’s School to commemorate the shift to the new premise. He had fond memories of being in St. Stephen’s School, the old school building with its huge football field, the hardworking staff who tried their best to ensure that the boys did well and the boys who were mischievous yet, still uphold the Lasallian values of brotherhood regardless of race and religion. He left St. Stephen’s School to join the Singapore Navy where he was a pioneer naval officer.
