Mr. Magness taught at St Stephen’s in the 70s, 80s and 90s. He is the epitome of the Lasallian teacher with his strong belief in reaching out to the child to love and uplift. This deep desire to connect with his students and make a difference for them resonates with the Lasallian philosophy of teaching minds, touching hearts and transforming lives, especially for the last, the lost and the least. His spirit and zeal to embrace life wholeheartedly lives on in the actions of the countless students that share fond memories of their teacher who inspired. Once a teacher, forever a teacher. Even after retiring, Mr. Donald Magness never stopped educating others, he continued to do teaching at St Stephen’s School as well as St Patrick’s School. Besides teaching and coaching football, Mr. Magness was an avid artist and created many pieces for school events and activities.
