Enhance Student Well-being

P5 Hands-on Pollination of Flower and Virtual Learning Journey

Our P5 pupils went on a virtual learning journey to Gardens by the Bay and tried their hands at on the process of pollination.

Leveraging on ICT tools promotes Self Directed and Collaborative Learning opportunities for all our pupils, aligned to the school’s ICT implementation framework. It gives an opportunity for our pupils to apply the concepts taught in class in authentic situations.

The pupils also have the opportunity to access these portal all year long hence allowing them to revise on the topics taught and learning at their own pace.

Hand Pollination and Seed Dispersal Appreciation Session

Hands-on experience in transferring pollen grains from the anthers to the stigmas of lilies allows pupils to immerse themselves in the pollination process and put their knowledge into practice.

Additionally, they get to take a closer look at the various parts of the flowers and observe the different characteristics of seeds based on their dispersal methods.

P6 Learning about Forces through Games and Experimentation

Exploring motion: Pupils release toy car to measure distance travelled.

To enhance Pupils’ wellbeing with hands on experience, the Primary 6 pupils played with toys that showed different forms of energy and learnt how energy can be converted from one form to another.

Pupils collaboratively measure wooden block's travel distance with stretched rubber band experiment.

Singapore Mobility Gallery at LTA

Primary 3 students went to the SG Mobility Gallery at LTA to learn about how they can reduce their carbon footprint and the identification of different transport habits that can help to reduce their carbon emissions.

At the ‘Running Hero’ exhibit, children take on the role of eco-warriors. They chose their mode of transport, walk or jog, on the spot to clock steps. They learnt that walking reduces their carbon footprint by 100%. They had fun learning about greener modes of transport at the LTA Mobility Gallery.

Kahoot science challenge

Primary 6 pupils engaged in a Kahoot science challenge, igniting the joy of learning in the classroom. This interactive competition not only made learning and revision fun but also encouraged active participation. The top 5 performers in each class were awarded medals, celebrating their enthusiasm for science and commitment to academic excellence.
