Reimagining our Singapore Dollar Note

Big idea: “What does Singapore mean to you?”

In this learning module, our graduating students were given the challenge of exploring the contemporary issue of nationhood and identity by reimagining the design of a Singapore dollar note. Our artists were encouraged to establish a deeper understanding of the evolution of money and the modern issue of counterfeit production, and to think critically about how the dollar note symbolises a society’s hopes and ambitions. The varied results demonstrate each child’s earnest tribute and dream for our nation, Singapore.
