Invite Guardians in Google Classroom
In Google Classroom, you can invite guardians to receive email summaries for their students. Guardian email summaries include:
Missing work —Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
Upcoming work — Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
Class activity — Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers
Note:
Guardians who sign up for email summaries can’t see the Stream, Classwork, People, or Grades pages in Classroom.
Guardians can select how often they want to receive updates from Classroom, daily or weekly. Guardians can unsubscribe from these updates at any time.
After a guardian accepts the invitation, you and their student receives a confirmation email. And, the guardian’s name shows next to the student’s name (shown below). For privacy, students don’t see the names of other students’ guardians.
When a guardian accepts the invitation, the guardian’s email is linked to the student in all of their classes. So, you might see that some students already have a guardian attached to them from other Google Classrooms.
