At Outram Secondary School, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom, and our outdoor learning spaces are designed to enrich students' educational experiences. These spaces are built to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and encourage hands-on learning. With sustainability and well-being at the core of our design, our outdoor environments offer students dynamic, real-world learning opportunities.
These outdoor spaces are more than just classrooms, they are environments where students actively connect with nature, experiment with new ideas, and build a deeper understanding of the world around them. At Outram Secondary, we are committed to creating spaces that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a passion for sustainability.
Explore our campus through the artist impression photographs below and imagine how these spaces will come alive with student activity, collaboration, and learning.
Learning Pavilion
The Outdoor Learning Pavilion serves as both a learning and gathering space, connecting students to nature while deepening their academic understanding. It is a versatile space designed for collaborative, hands-on learning. It supports a wide range of subjects, particularly in Science, Geography, and Environmental Education. This pavilion allows students to engage with real-world projects, whether they are exploring ecosystems, conducting scientific experiments, or investigating sustainable farming practices.
Outdoor Learning Corridor
The Outdoor Learning Corridor extends the classroom into the natural environment, offering students a unique space for inquiry-based learning. Surrounded by greenery, this corridor allows students to observe and study ecosystems, plants, and environmental changes directly, supporting lessons in Geography, Science, and Sustainability.
Farming Provision for Learning Corridor
Our Farming Provision for Learning Corridor provides students with a hands-on space to learn about sustainable food production, eco-stewardship, and the importance of food security. Through vertical and traditional farming techniques, students engage in practical lessons that align with our commitment to environmental sustainability.
