The dedicated Malay Department teachers also believe in the teaching of values. This is done through the Character and Citizenship Education which emphasizes the need to be exemplary citizens through different role-play scenarios and case studies. Strong teacher-student relationships encourages pupils to be open in sharing their difficulties with their teachers.

Kartunis Cilik 2022

Three Primary 6 pupils took part in Kartunis Cilik competition in 2022. They gained valuable experience using media while creating the comics. Their ideas were interesting and they can portray the use of idioms very well through the comics that they have created. Well done!

HARI RAYA CELEBRATION

Hari Raya is a joyous celebration celebrated by the Muslims all around the world. To share the meaning of Hari Raya with the rest of the Innovians, Hari Raya concert will be held every year in IPS. Classroom activities were done at every level to educate the pupils about Hari Raya.

RAKAN BAHASA 

The Malay Language has fostered a strong sense of cultural identity and community pride with the use of the Malay language through various programs and activities.  As part of Bulan Bahasa, students who have a strong love for the Malay Language and culture are appointed for a year as Rakan Bahasa or ambasadors of Malay Language. They are to set an example to their peers and family by communicating in Malay Language in their everyday lives. As a Malay Language ambassador, they will be given the opportunity to improve their presentation skills, build confidence and appreciate Malay culture.

Story-telling 2022

Recently, 3 of our Primary 5 ML pupils took part in a storytelling competition organized by NUSA Malay Language Centre. A total of 147 pupils from 31 primary schools took part in the competition. We are pleased to share that out of the 3 pupils who participated, Diyaul Haq (5A) came in among the top 10 for the upper primary category during the Finals held on 3 September 2022. The other 2 pupils who had represented our school for the preliminary round were awarded ‘Silver’ and ‘Bronze’ award respectively. The pupils are:

Diyaul Haq Bin Muhamad Isham, 5A, received Gold with Honours.

Fathima Zahratunnisa Binte Zaki, 5E, received, Silver.

Nur Farha Adelia Binte Nur Muhamad, 5B, received Bronze.
