Students bring joy and warmth to the elderly through meaningful interactions. Whether it’s sharing stories and songs during visits, making festive cards, or organising simple games and activities at senior centres and school, our students learn empathy and respect while brightening the lives of others. These intergenerational connections remind them of the value of kindness, patience, and gratitude.
Sounds of Kindness: Serving the Elderly with Music and Joy [6 January 2025 to 5 April 2025]
Our Chinese Orchestra students visited a nursing home, where they performed for the elderly and brought joy through a Bingo game, prize distribution, and donations of essential items. This experience helped students appreciate the importance of caring for seniors and showed them that they, too, can contribute meaningfully to society.
Collaborating with Lion Befrienders(Ghim Moh) in Mother's Day Celebration [23 May 2025]
Our students performed three songs for the elderly at Ghim Moh 4A Pavilion as part of the Mother’s Day Celebration. They also assisted in the Bingo session by helping seniors look out for numbers and delivering prizes to the winners. During the tea break, students served food and drinks, making the event more enjoyable for the elderly participants.
Bounce & Bond: A Day of Play with Seniors [15 May 2025 to 24 July 2025]
This intergenerational VIA activity brought together the tennis and table tennis teams to host a mini carnival for seniors, in collaboration with the Active Global Senior Activity Center. Students planned and organised the activities, accompanied the seniors, demonstrated the games, guided them through each station, and served refreshments.
Intergenerational Bonding [25 January 2025 to 27 September 2025]
To celebrate the spirit of togetherness, students hosted community elders for festive gatherings during both Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival. These events provided a wonderful opportunity for intergenerational bonding, filling the school with joy and festive cheer.

Students accompanied seniors in HPPS (Hall) and participated in i) modified games and decorating cards of well-wishes for our World Aquatics Championship athletes.

Students organized and led interactive activities for elderly from Lions Befrienders.
Creating Memories with Seniors [6 October 2025 to 30 October 2025]
Our P6 students planned activities for the seniors in Ghim Moh Active Ageing Centre and Senior Care Centre. The representatives performed alongside seniors, engaged them in art and craft activities, and played simple games together. Through this meaningful interaction, students built empathy, respect, and confidence while contributing to a vibrant intergenerational experience.
