CCA Highlights!
As part of Greendale's leadership programme, students are provided opportunities to take up various leadership positions, whether it is in the classrooms, Student Council, Sports Leaders or CCAs. In Angklung Ensemble, members are offered various roles ranging from Student Conductor to EXCO positions (Level 4-5), with priority given to the Sec 3/4s. These opportunities help develop our members' leadership skills to turn and make them into confident servant leaders. Leaders also undergo training programmes that further boost social and servant leadership skills. Click HERE to learn more on our school's website.
Bonding sessions, are planned by our Sec 3 EXCO to build trust, improve communication and boost teamwork for a more bonded and closer ensemble. They are conducted when:
New Sec 1 members join the CCA
Before June Holidays, to celebrate SYF/Eladneerg achievements
In term 3, before sitting for EOY exams
In 2024, as part of a student exchange program, some Taiwanese students participated in our CCA session and learned how to play the angklung and create a simple tune. It was enriching to exchange culture with our Taiwanese friends while staying connected through our love for music.
Held yearly in early April or late March of the year. This gives a sense of recognition and to thank the graduating Sec 4s who have contributed to the CCA as they step down to focus on their studies and national examinations.
