What is Volleyball?

Volleyball was originally invented in 1985 by WIlliam Morgan, athletic director in YMCA, USA. He wanted to create a sport as exciting yet less taxing on the physical aspect by removing all forms of physical contact with opponents.
Volleyball was initially called "Mintonette" and was later renamed to make its name more relatable to the nature of the sport.
Volleyball consists of a combination of skills from various sports, such as handball, tennis and many more.
There is a player on the court wearing a different coloured jersey - he/she is called the libero who has to follow a different set of rules.
The longest recorded volleyball match played was 75 hours and 30 mins...

Basic Rules to start a Game:
First to 25 points wins a set.
Start by serving a ball over to the opponent's court.
Use a maximum of 3 touches to score a point by landing the ball in the opponent's court.
A player cannot perform consecutive touches on the ball.
