To be scientifically literate is to be equipped with skills that would allow students to understand new information, think critically and engage in meaningful conversations in Science-related areas.
In Frontier Primary School, scientific literacy has been infused into the curriculum. Through carrying out a variety of experiments, it is hoped that students will be able to gain more confidence, speak with conviction and think critically about things around them.
Some example of activities with scientific literacy infused into them are
Puppet show presentation (in Primary 4, in line with the topic Light and Shadow)
Experiment with electricity (in Primary 5, in line with the topic Electrical System)

Students were tasked to find out how the size of shadows is affected by the distance of an object to the light source. Then, as a group, they had to prepare a shadow puppet show. Watch some of the presentations below!
