Gender Inequality: Whose Fight Is It?

Modern society today claims to be progressive. However, gender inequality is a prevalent problem that still troubles our world today. Our presentation explores the ways gender inequality impacts women and what nations and citizens worldwide are doing to combat against the issue. We also propose some solutions to help eradicate the problem.

Gender inequality is a rising problem in the world. The Sustainable Gender goal is to ‘Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls’. In South Korea, the gender inequality issue is very serious, especially in terms of workplace gender discrimination. In our presentation, we will explore gender discrimination in South Korea from WWII till today and how it impacted their society. We will also share on the work that has been done to combat the situation as well as what we as individuals can do to help this issue. We hope that through our sharing, we can all learn to respect people of different genders and reach a society where gender equality is present.
