Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB)
Under Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB), Secondary 1 students entering the school in 2026 will be placed in mixed form classes comprising students from different Posting Groups and will have opportunities to interact and learn with peers of different backgrounds, strengths and interests. Students in the same form class will learn a common curriculum for six subjects. The six common subjects are Art, Character & Citizenship Education (CCE), Design & Technology (D&T), Food & Consumer Education (FCE), Music and Physical Education (PE).

Offering Subjects at a More Demanding Level (MDL)
Eligible students can offer English Language, Mother Tongue Languages, Mathematics and Science at a more demanding level based on their PSLE Achievement Level (AL) for each of these subjects.
Parents whose daughter is eligible to offer subject(s) at a more demanding level in Sec 1 will receive the letter(s) of offer via Parents Gateway by Monday, 22 December 2025. Please respond to the offer(s) for your daughter by Wednesday, 24 December 2025, 6.00pm. Purchase of books for subjects at a more or less demanding level can be made upon confirmation or acceptance of the offers when the school reopens at the school bookstore.
Offering Subjects at a Less Demanding Level (LDL)
For students who offered English, Mathematics and/or Science at Foundation level at PSLE but are otherwise eligible to take most of their subjects at G3 when entering secondary school, they may choose to offer these subject(s) at a less demanding level (i.e., G2), in consultation with the school.
For Mother Tongue Languages (MTL), students have the option to offer MTL at a less demanding level based on their MTL performance at the PSLE as shown in the table below:
Students are encouraged to offer subject(s) at the indicative level based on their overall PSLE score. Should your daughter/ward be eligible to offer subject(s) at a less demanding level and wishes to do so, please send a request to our Full SBB Coordinator, Ms Cheak Ching Hui, at cheak_ching_hui@moe.edu.sg with the subject “Offer subject at a less demanding level” by Wednesday, 24 December 2025, 6.00pm.

Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) & Third Languages
Parents/Guardians will be informed by the school by Monday, 22 December 2025, via Parents Gateway (PG) on their daughter's/ward's:
Eligibility for Higher Mother Tongue Languages (HMTL)
A PG form will be sent to parents/ guardians if their daughter/ ward is eligible for HMTL. Please submit the completed form by Wednesday, 24 December 2025, 6.00pm.
Outcome of Application for Third Language
Successful applicants will need to confirm the acceptance of the offer and complete the registration with the respective centres:

Chinese (Special Programme) and Malay (Special Programme) Zonal Centres

Art and Music Elective Programmes (AEP & MEP)
The AEP and MEP are Special MOE programmes for students with passion and aptitude in art/music so that they can further deepen their knowledge, skills and appreciation in these areas. The programmes aim to develop students as practitioners, scholars, advocates and leaders in the arts and to provide an enriched art/music learning environment for students to pursue an in-depth study into art/music. At the end of four years, students who are offered the AEP/MEP will sit for the Higher Art/Music syllabus at O-level.
If your child/ward exhibits interest, potential and passion for Art or Music, she can apply for MOE's Art/Music Elective Programmes (AEP/MEP) in the following AEP/MEP Centres from Sec 1:
AEP: National Junior College
MEP: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) / Dunman High School
AEP and MEP Application Form: https://go.gov.sg/aepmep2026. Applications are open from 2 January to 15 January 2026.
Successful applicants will attend weekly lessons in the afternoon at the AEP/MEP Centre and are expected to commit to the programme for 4 years. Prior to application, interested students and their parents should work closely with the students' secondary schools to coordinate their school timetable and commitments to facilitate their full participation in the AEP/MEP.
