Calligraphy

With a brimming pen and effortless strokes,

I convey love and compassion through the art of Chinese Calligraphy.

"Farewell"  by Wang Wei (Tang Dynasty)
Dismounted, I drink with you,
and ask where you are going.
You say you have no clear destination,
so you return to rest by the southern mountain's edge.
But when you depart, do not ask again,
for white clouds have no end in sight.

"Bidding Farewell to Prefect Du on His Mission to Shu"

by Wang Bo (Tang Dynasty)
City gates guard the three Qins,
Amidst the wind and mist,

I gaze upon five rivers' flow.
Parting from you carries a heavy heart,

both of us wandering officials.

Though separated within the realm,

we're kindred spirits.

Though we're far apart, it is as if we are close neighbors at the ends of the world.
Never part at a crossroads with tears wetting the handkerchief,

like young lovers in sorrow.

"Gazing at the Spring Palace After the Provincial Exam in the Twelfth Month" by Lin Kuan (Tang Dynasty)
Beginning of the twelfth month in the
Imperial Capital, the phoenix carriage of the Emperor emerges from the deep palace.
The emperor stands on a high tower,
gazing into the distance at the Ba River.
The officials' attire is adorned with white frost, and their robes reflect the red brilliance of the sun. Despite the cold weather, the willow buds are starting to bloom, and the songs of orioles gradually sound in the breeze.
The Imperial Canal cuts through the mist,
and the royal peaks shine in the slanting sky.
At this moment, the emperor and his attendants are witnessing the joyful scene of a bountiful harvest.

"Two Poems on Parting with Dong Dashi" by Gao Shi (Tang Dynasty)
A thousand miles of yellow clouds obscure the dawn's white light.
The northern wind blows, and geese soar amidst falling snowflakes.
Do not worry that you will lack companions on the road ahead,
for who in the world does not recognize you?

"Farewell to Envoy Yuan on His Mission to Anxi" by Wang Wei (Tang Dynasty)
Morning rain in the City of Wei
has refreshed the light dust.
Around the traveler's inn,
the green willows appear anew.
Bidding you farewell,
I would like to offer you one more toast.
As you go west through Yang Pass,
old friends are nowhere to be found.

"Ninth of September: Memories of My Brothers in Shandong" by Wang Wei (Tang Dynasty)
Alone in a foreign land as a stranger,
on every festive occasion,
I miss my loved ones even more.
From afar, I know my brothers have reached great heights. Everywhere, the spindle fruit is attached, but one is absent.

"To Wang Lun" by Li Bai (Tang Dynasty)
Li Bai, aboard a boat, was about to depart.
Suddenly heard on the shore a foot-treading song starts.
The waters of peach blossom lake, a thousand feet deep,
can't compare to the feelings of Wang Lun, in sentiment so steep.

"Upon Hearing of Wang Changling's Relocation, Sending My Regards from Afar" by Li Bai (Tang Dynasty)
Amidst falling poplar flowers, the oriole cries,
I heard that the dragon flag passed by five streams nearby.
I send my anxious heart with the bright moon's light,
I will follow you, my friend, all the way to the western land of Yelang at night.

Bestow roses upon others,
and your hands preserve their sweet scent.
Extending love and care to others,
we enrich our own lives with greater splendor.

"Farewell to a Friend"  by Li Bai (Tang Dynasty)
Green hills stretch beyond the northern suburbs,
white waters flow around the Eastern city.
This place, now left behind,
I wander alone for thousands of miles in my journey.
Roaming clouds express the wanderer's thoughts,
the setting sun carries the feelings of old friends.
With a wave of my hand, I depart from here,
the sound of neighing horses echoing faintly.

"The Traveler's Lament" by Meng Jiao (Tang Dynasty)
A loving mother's hand holds the thread,
while her traveler child wears the clothes.
Before departure, she sews with care,
fearing a belated return.
Who can fathom the heart of a mere inch-tall blade of grass,
appreciating the warmth and radiance of three springs?

Home is the gentle touch of cooling rain, brushing away the weariness of the journey.
Home is the everlasting concern, safeguarding the roots of happiness.
Home is a warm harbor, embracing wandering souls.
Home is like a protective tree, shielding from the scorching summer sun.
