Performances

Performance by Modern Dance

This playful and lively dance contains an assortment of dance styles featuring interactions between groups of unique personalities, to signify the synergy in diversity and the togetherness of Cedar as a community.

Their first performance before a live crowd this year, this light-hearted dance celebrates the vibrancy of student life as well as the freedom of movement and expression.

Performance by Guzheng Ensemble

The Guzheng Ensemble brings two festive tunes. The first tune is titled 喜洋洋(xi yang yang). This lively and festive melody excites and uplifts the spirits of the audience. With its fast, dynamic and staccato-like melody and rhythm, it celebrates the joyous occasion of Cedar turning 65.

The second song is titled 步步高(bu bu gao). The fast-paced melody of this song embodies the aspirations of Cedarians to continually reach for greater heights at school and in life. The joyous melody depicts students’ passion for learning and the desire to keep the Cedar flag flying high.
