Prime Minister’s School Visit

Bowen Secondary School played host to the Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong and Ms. Ho Ching ministerial visits to schools.

Explorations of Youth: Myths and Legends

Bowen Secondary School celebrated her 3rd public performance with the performing arts group on 13 March at the NTUC Auditorium.

1st Combined Uniformed Groups Passing Out Parade

The Uniformed Groups came together for their very own passing out parade for the very first time on 20th May 2011.

30th Anniversary Celebration

Bowen celebrated our 30 Years of Growth on 21 April 2012 with our Guest-of-Honour, Mrs Lim Thian Loke, Zonal Director (Schools North).

To celebrate this occasion, our Bowenians put up a performance entitled ‘Odyssey - The Blossoming’ at the Kallang Theatre

Bowen Secondary was honoured to have Mr. Cheah Horn Mun, Director, Educational Technology Division and his colleagues visit us to discuss matters pertaining to technology in education.

Sasi captains Bowen's girls B-Division football team with a never-say-die attitude

Described as a "Tigress" on the soccer pitch, Sasi's scooped up the "Most Promising Player of the Tournament Award" after leading the team to a 3-0 victory in the B-Division soccer finals.

National Secondary Schools Student Leaders Conference

Bowen Secondary School hosted the conference attended by 550 Student Leaders from 138 Schools. Guest of Honour, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Lawrence Wong flagged off the event.

Bowen's Indian and Malay Dancers performed in conjunction with Service-Learning Week

Dancing in front of our then President, Dr. Tony Tan, our dancers took pride showing the gracious move accompanied by the music. It was definitely one unforgettable experience that our students had.

Bowenian did well for O-Levels despite volunteering 2-hours a week

Chan Yew Kun volunteered two hours a week and also participated in an overseas Values-in-Action (VIA) project in Yogyakarta. Despite his commitments, he also excelled in his O levels.

Bowen Wins C Division Girls Football

Bowen Secondary celebrates their 1-0 victory over rivals Queensway Secondary in the Schools National C Division girls' football final. Nurhidayu Naszri scored the winning goal as Bowen avenged last year's 1-0 final loss to the same opponents.

ActiveSG Youth Leaders Camp

Sports leaders were off to an exciting 4-day, 3-night camp where they learnt to engage the community through sports and interacted with leaders from other schools.

Bowen Alumnus named The Straits Times
"Star of the Month"

Alumnus Daryl Ho named The Straits Times Star of the Month as he helped Singapore win a Bronze medal in the World U-24 Ultimate Championships.

Piloting Full Subject-Based Banding (SBB)

Bowen Secondary School became one of the pilot schools for the Ministry of Education's (MOE) Full-SBB programme.

Home - Based Learning (HBL)

Even with the pandemic, learning continues as classes moved online. Both teachers and students quickly learnt to adapt and engage with each other through online tools.
