Art Enrichment Programme

KHENG CHENG SCHOOL

Every year, our art teachers conduct in-house art enrichment programme for selected students who have shown keen interest and potential in Art. It would provide them the opportunity to develop their fine artistic skills and deepen their artistic experience.

2023

P5 Art Enrichment Programme - Developing a meaningful Art Portfolio (2023)

The P5 Art Enrichment Programme is an opportunity for talented students to develop their artistic skills and critical thinking in Visual Arts. It aims to deepen their understanding and create a meaningful Art Portfolio that can benefit them in the DSA/SOTA selection process and help them apply for the Art Elective Programme and Enhance Art Programme in Secondary School.

 

Pupils were selected based on their skill and attitude towards art. As part of the art curriculum, the enrichment further helps to facilitates dialogues on ideas and art processes among student artists. We hope that through this programme, students will be thoughtful individuals and self-directed learners.

2021

P1 Acrylic Painting (2021)

Our P1 Art Enrichment programme targeted students who displays a deep interest and flair in the Arts. It aims to enrich student’s learning in the arts by exposing them to painting on canvas. Students learnt about warm and cool colours, various blending techniques and worked on fine-painting skills to create a silhouette painting. Students not only enjoyed themselves but feedback showed that enrichment allowed students to share their artistic processes and hone their talents in Art. As this year’s enrichment were conducted online, we are also heartened by the active engagement of the parents, who were there to support each child, behind the camera! Thank you for the unwavering support, Parents!

P5 - Drawing Techniques & Answering Creative Brief (2021)

Our P5 art enrichment programme conducted over Zoom by our Art Teacher, Ms Li Huiyuan, introduced students to new drawing techniques. They also explored ways to answer a creative brief by sharing with their peers and teachers about their artwork. The asynchronous sessions within the programme also offered students with the self-directed learning opportunity to learn and develop their still life drawing techniques. We are heartened to see the active engagement and positive attitude that our students have shown in their art learning journey.    


2022

P1 - Acrylic Painting (2022)


P3 - Printmaking (2022)

Our P3 Art Enrichment programme targeted students who displays a deep interest and flair in the Arts. It aims to enrich student’s learning in the arts by exposing them to relief print-making. Students learnt about print-making techniques and worked on their print-making skills to create an interesting print of their own. Students not only enjoyed learning about this new art form, they also enjoyed using these new art-making tools to express their artistic thoughts.


P5 - Drawing Techniques (2022)

Our P5 art enrichment programme introduced students to new drawing techniques. The programme offered students with the opportunity to learn and develop their still life drawing techniques. We are heartened to see the active engagement and positive attitude that our students have shown in their art learning journey.
