What is Poly EAE?

  • An aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply for and receive conditional offers for admission to polytechnics prior to receiving their final grades

  • It allows the polytechnics greater flexibility to select and admit students based on their aptitudes and interests, apart from academic grades, thus allowing a wider range of talents to be recognised

Confirmation of Conditional Offer

  • A net ELR2B2 score of 26 points or better for the GCE ‘O’ Levels examinations

  • Minimum Entry Requirements (MERs) for the polytechnic course you have been offered under Poly EAE

  • The MERs for each Polytechnic course can be found on the Course Finder or JAE Booklet

4. Offer & Acceptance

  • If the student has the conditional offer, he/she must indicate acceptance of the posting latest by the deadline via the EAE portal

  • If the student changes his/her mind after accepting the posting, he/she must withdraw by submitting online at the EAE portal latest by the withdrawal deadline

  • Students who have accepted an offer from a Polytechnic are deemed to be admitted into the school and not allowed to participate in JAE after GCE ‘O’ Results

  • Students must still meet NET ELR2B2 ≤ 26 for Poly-EAE and Minimum Entry Requirements

Commitment to acceptance of offer

  • Students who have accepted a Poly EAE offer but do not withdraw by the deadline will be deemed to have confirmed their acceptance and will not be eligible to participate in the JAE and other polytechnic admissions exercises.
