All students are encouraged to be in school by 7.20 am as morning assembly and flag raising will start at 7.30 am.
Students should be in full uniform on the first day of school. If you could not purchase your school uniform in time, you may wear your primary school uniform.
Parents are requested to give more pocket money on days where the dismissal time is beyond lunch hours.
On average, a meal (without drinks) is between $2.80 to $3.50, depending on the food item and the quantity.
Students are required to be in full or half uniform (school skirt/shorts with PE/school-based T-shirt) for all days. Hence it is recommended that students purchase at least 3 skirts or pairs of shorts and at least 2 blouses or shirts. As students are allowed to wear half uniform when the weather is too hot, it is recommended that students purchase at least 3 sets of PE attire.

There will be a special orientation programme from 2 to 7 January 2026. Students are to bring along writing materials on the first day of school on Friday, 2 January 2026 to take note of important information.
On Thursday, 8 January 2026, we will have the CCA Open House for students and Sec 1 Parents’ Forum for parents. Both programmes are expected to end at 6 pm.
The timetable will be uploaded on our school website by the first week of January 2026. Students are advised to refer to the website to download a copy. Lessons according to the timetable will begin on Friday, 9 January 2026.
All students must report to school by 7.20 am.
School ends latest by 2.30 pm for Secondary One and Two students from Monday to Thursday and 12.30 pm on Fridays (with the exception of AEP students). For the Upper Secondary levels, the end-time on different days varies, depending on the students’ subject combinations.
On days when students have to attend CCAs (Mon, Wed or Thur), the ending time can be up to 6.00 pm, depending on the nature of the CCA.
Students who are keen to take up Art Elective Programme (AEP) are to report to school on Friday, 26 December 2025 at 8.00am for a selection test. Students must be in their primary school uniform.

If students have applied for third language or MSP through the S1 Internet System, the status of their application will be made known via Parents Gateway after 3pm on Friday, 19 Dec 2025.
Students may submit their application to take up MSP in Zhonghua Sec here.
Students who are eligible to take up one or more subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, Chinese/Malay) at a more demanding level will be informed. Parents are encouraged to discuss the offer with their child and either accept or reject the offer by Wednesday, 24 December 2025.
