This course introduces to the student the knowledge of basic circuit theory and various circuit diagrams of motor. Student will do wiring for motor control system from circuit diagram.
This course introduces to the student about motor control system with various circuit diagrams in order to control certain motor movement and number of control devices used in motor control, use of a motor control circuit according to the location and number of positions and practice safety procedures in actual workplace environment.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
CLO 1 : Interpret of motor control operation according to circuit diagram. (C2, PLO3)
CLO 2 : Perform motor control circuit using softwore application. (P2, PLO10)
CLO 3 : Perform motor control installation based on the designed circuit diagram (P3, PLO2)
Explain basic concepts of motor control
1.1.1 Define the basic concepts of motor control according to user requirements.
Demonstrate component and accessories used in motor control
1.2.1 List the component and accessories used in motor control according to IEC Regulation.
1.2.2 Determine the component and accessories used in motor control according to IEC Regulation.
1.2.3 Lab : Draw motor control circuit.
Describe the use and function of each magnetic control component.
1.3.1 Select the use and function of each magnetic control according to IEC Regulation.
Perform motor control circuit.
1.4.1 Read motor control circuit diagram according to IEC Regulation.
1.4.2 Interpret motor control circuit diagram according to IEC Regulation.
1.4.3 Install and wired control components and accessories according to circuit diagrams.
1.4.4 Carry out practical of the main circuit wiring and control circuits according to circuit diagrams.
1.4.5 Lab : Install Star- Delta Control Starter
1.4.6 Lab : Install Auto-Transformer Starter
