Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training

**Welcome to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI) training. The NVCI programming is a safe, non-harmful behavior management system designed to help human service professionals provide the best possible Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security SM of disruptive, assaualtive, and out of-control-individuals-even during their most violent moments.

Each of you has received a Participant Workbook. Please use this book as a place to capture your notes and reference information that you may find useful. Guided notes that follow along with course material are provided both on this site and in your workbook. Before we get started please review pages 1-2 in your Participant Workbook (Introduction to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training, Due Care Guidelines for Participants, and Why Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training?). Additionally, please review the Program Objectives on page 5.

Through this course we will be using a mix of online and in person training. You will complete Units 1-7, and Unit 10 virtually with the help of CPI certified instructors. You will also need to schedule in person training sessions for Units 8 and 9.
