□ Bedding—sleeping bag and/or twin-sized top and bottom sheet with blanket and pillow
□ Toiletries (soap, toothbrush/paste, brush, etc.), including a towel and washcloth
□ Bag to carry items to shower house (plastic grocery bags work well for this)
□ Sunscreen and hat
□ Bug Spray
□ 1-2 extra changes of clothes (Students will be outside and should be dressed for the weather)
□ At least one warm sweater, sweatshirt, jacket (If winter: coat, hat, and gloves/mittens)
□ 1-2 extra pairs of socks
□ 1-2 pairs of close-toed boots/shoes (sandals, flip flops, and open-toed shoes are not allowed during DBOC programming)
□ Optional: Slippers/house shoes for inside cabins (Students will be required to remove shoes before entering cabins)
□ Water bottle (Other than a bottle of water, food and drink are not allowed in cabins)
□ Rain poncho or rain jacket
□ Medications—clearly labeled with student’s name (give to teacher)
□ Pajamas
□ Flashlight or headlamp
Optional Items (Shaw Nature Reserve is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles)
□ Camera
□ Binoculars
□ Journal
□ Reading book
What NOT to Bring:
Expensive or sentimental belongings (including "good" clothes)
Knives, weapons, cigarettes, illegal drugs, alcohol
Packing Notes:
If needed, we have a limited supply of essential items students may borrow (ex. water bottles, flashlights, sleeping bags, jackets)
