Class fees are $5/student with a $50 minimum.
Overnight lodging is $20/student with a $200 minimum.
Class and lodging fees are waived for one lead teacher as well as for one adult chaperone per ten students. Additional adults are charged Shaw Nature Reserve's daily admission rate ($5/adult) if they are only present during the day or $20/adult if they spend the night.
Groups may schedule their visit up to one year in advance. Availability is limited and programs are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact Jessie Dockins, DBOC school programs coordinator, at jdockins@mobot.org.
Registration for Spring 2026 field trips is now closed. If you’re interested in scheduling a field trip for a future season, updates will be posted here by the end of September 2025.

Use this calendar to check the tentative availability of the dates you're interested in visiting the DBOC. Tentatively available dates are marked "Available". Day field trips may be scheduled Wednesday-Friday. Overnights may be scheduled Wednesday-Thursday or Thursday-Friday.
