Blacksburg Bands

Welcome to the official website of Blacksburg Middle and High School bands, located in Blacksburg, Virginia. We're proud of our schools' legacies of musical success, including sending students to all-district, all-state, and national bands and regularly earning superior ratings in assessments and competitions.

Several bands at both schools allow students of all experience levels to play. Under the direction of Darrell Pearman, Blacksburg High School students can take Concert Band or Symphonic Band. At Blacksburg Middle School, band director Harry Farmer leads Sixth Grade Band, Seventh Grade Band, and Symphonic Band. Both schools contribute members to the Blacksburg High School Marching Band.

All the bands are supported by the Blacksburg Band Boosters, a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
