JROTC Booster Club Senior Scholarship

DEADLINE: January 14th

Amount: $500

Base Requirements

Must be a senior
Accumulative 2.5 unweighted GPA (weighted can be used as a tie-breaker)
Let level 3 or 4
Participate in a minimum of 1 JROTC special team
- JLab
- Rifle Team
- Raider
- Drill
- Color Guard
Volunteer & Activity participation (instructor determines if amount appropriate as different situations may dictate participation.)
Fundraiser participation - no set percentage but participation within ability
Have an after High School internet that involves college, certification, or military

Qualified Cadets would submit a 250-500 word essay in regards to their future plans and how the funds would be used. (For school supplies, admission fees, application fees, military supplies, etc.)

Machens Drives Education

Eligibility:

(a) Legal Missouri residents over the age of fifteen years old, at the time of applicant submission.

(b) Scheduled to enroll in an institution of post-secondary education during the 2023-2024 school year.

(c) Have a 3.0 grade point average, or the equivalent in any school or program that does not routinely issue grade point averages, at the time of submission of their application. Each student must nominate themselves, but have a school sponsor that can attest to their application for validity. Employees of Joe Machens Automotive Group and members of their families are not eligible to participate as sponsors or students. “Family” is defined as parents, step-parents, siblings, step-siblings, and the spouses of each of them.

Scholarships to be Awarded:

Joe Machens Automotive Group will award one Joe Machens Drives Education Scholarship each month between September 2023 and June 2024 for a total of nine (9) scholarship awards (each a “Scholarship”). Each Joe Machens Drives Education Scholarship will consist of exactly $2,500.00, which will be paid directly to the institution during the 2024-2025 academic school year. There is a limit of one (1) Joe Machens Drives Education Scholarship Award per family. Taxes of any type associated with the award of a Joe Machens Drives Education Scholarship are the sole responsibility of the awardee.

MSSDAR - Nash Music Scholarship

Deadline: January 15, 2026

It is available to any student who is pursuing a degree in music. Seniors in high school through juniors in college may apply.

The student must be an accomplished musician and have a GPA of at least 3.0.

The applicant must submit a DVD or a CD or on-line of three selections, from one of their performances, for music professionals to judge. Each applicant will be adjudicated on their academic level.

The student must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of Missouri and plan on attending or already attending an accredited college/university in the United States.

The United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship

DEADLINE: January 17th, 2025

Amount: $1,000

Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools.

Conservation Foundation of Missouri Scholarship

CFMO offers 5 - $1000 scholarships to high school seniors or undergraduates in different natural resources areas.

Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.
All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance.
Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to the field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships.
Awards are placed on deposit with the recipient’s college or university and any unused portion shall be returned to the DAR.
Applicants are only eligible to receive one scholarship from the DAR.
