Welcome to the Moberly High School 2018-2019 Scholarship page!

All Scholarships will be listed below are arranged by month.

Please fill out any and all scholarships that you qualify for. You may return the application and all materials to the counselors office and I will mail them off for you.

Show-Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society--Chapter Scholarships

1) The Show-Me Chapter offers a $2000 scholarship for a high school senior, or undergraduate, planning to major in conservation or a natural resources-related field.

This is an essay contest based on the writing prompt found at the website below.

Applications must be postmarked by November 26th, 2018 (Monday after Thanksgiving).

Hagan Scholarship Foundation

Scholarship Amount: $6,000 each semester

Application Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  1. Must attend an Eligible Public High School.
  2. Must be a student in the 2019 high school graduating class.
  3. Must have achieved a high school CGPA of 3.50 or higher.
  4. Must have scored 23 or higher on the ACT (Composite Score) or 1,200 on the SAT.
  5. Must enroll at an eligible four-year college the first semester following high school graduation.
  6. Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of college; from August 2018 to August 2019.
  7. Must complete the FAFSA in 2018 using 2017 tax return information; the EFC must not exceed $6,500.
  8. Must apply for eligible Federal and State grants.
  9. Must not have been convicted of a felony.

P.E.O. Scholarship for Women

Scholarship Amount: $2500

Application Requirements:

  • A senior girl who plans to attend an accredited post secondary educational institution in the fall of 2019
  • A U.S. citizen
  • A minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities and community service

Please submit a resume with any leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, including any schools they have applied to or have been accepted to and also, their future career goals.

Turn in resumes to Mr. Beaudoin by September 28th, 2018


United Way of Randolph County Dual Credit Scholarship 2018

1) United Way of Randolph County offers a scholarship for 3 credit hours of dual credit in the course of your choice with a maximum cap of $240.

Application Requirements:

  • Copy of most recent transcript
  • Fill out the application form
  • Answer the application questions
  • Complete the Character Evaluation (includes 2 teacher and 1 administrator/coach letter of recommendation)

The application can be found to the right, or ask Mr. Beaudoin for a copy.

Applications must be returned to United Way of Randolph County by August 31st, 2018

Brenda and Mike Barner Scholarship

1) The Brenda and Mike Barner Scholarship will be awarded to two students who wish to take a dual credit English Composition class at Moberly High School for the Fall semester of 2018.

This application involves an application, essay, and interview.

The application can be found to the right, or ask Mr. Beaudoin for a copy.

Applications must be returned to Mr. Beaudoin by September 4th, 2018

Groth & Associates 2018 Scholarship

The Attorney’s at Groth and Associates have spent years in school learning how to help you in different aspects of law ranging from personal injury to business law. They understand the stresses of life and want to lend a hand outside of their normal duties. Their time in school has helped them all understand the importance of education. It takes hard work and perseverance to earn an education and they would like to reward you for your hard work by offering a scholarship to relieve a bit of the financial stress that education can bring. The scholarship awarded will be for $1,000 to one student to use towards furthering their education.

Scholarship Requirements

-Must have a G.P.A. of 3.0+

-Fill out the form with your contact information

-Attach school transcript to verify enrollment

-Attach a 500-word essay about difficulties or hardships you have had to personally overcome

Injury Lawyers Scholarship

This scholarship is available for high school seniors and current college students nationwide who will be attending or currently attending a 4-year college/university or 2-year community college for the Fall of 2018.

Here are some notes about the scholarship:

  • Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • One time award of $1,500
  • Scholarship specific to students who have been affected by a personal injury

Pottroff & Karlin Law Firm 2018 Scholarship

Requirements:

Applications for scholarship can be submitted by any high school senior or college freshman from the United States.

  • A student aid report showing income status of your household must be attached for application to be considered.
  • Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • A transcript must be attached with counselor or school representative signature for application to be considered.
  • This scholarship is a one time scholarship worth $1,000. It will be awarded September 1, 2018.
  • Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
