SHOW ME ARTS SUMMIT - STUDENT ADVOCACY TRAINING

The Missouri Alliance for Arts Education offers advocacy training and support. Show Me Arts Summit (SMArts) is an annual in-person event geared toward developing student advocates for arts education and occurs the night before our Fine Arts Education Day. Visit moaae.org to learn more.

Breakfast is served in the atrium restaurant between 7am-10am. (It should be a "free" breakfast for SMArts participants.)

Visit the lobby mural and "make your mark!" before you head to the Capitol.

The Capitol Building is within walking distance, but shuttle service will be available departing the hotel at 

Hotel Checkout must be complete by 11am.

The Fine Arts Education Day festivities begin on April 3 at 8:30am with a Senate Exhibit "meet and greet." You are invited to attend the recognition ceremony at 9am; Spoken word performances at 10, MAAE awards ceremony at 11, and the rotunda concert at noon. Concerts outside and a pizza lunch are also planned. Learn more about performance schedule.

The Capitol Building is within walking distance, but shuttle service will be available departing the hotel at 8:10am; 8:40am and 9:20am. The Shuttle will depart from the doors outside the lobby and drop you off at the Southeast sidewalk near the Carriage entrance at the Capitol building.

If walking, you can use the city streets, or travel THROUGH the Truman Building to reach the Capitol.
