Choir

Choir meets for a full year with the purpose of developing a good choral sound. The repertoire consists of outstanding compositions of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods, as well as pop selections. Members are eligible to audition for district, regional, and state choir after their freshman year. In addition to all scheduled classes, members of the choir are responsible for all scheduled before and after school dress rehearsals and performances throughout the year.

Select Choir meets for a full year with the purpose of developing a good choral sound and for performing as the showcase choir of Marple Newtown High School. The repertoire consists of masterworks in choral literature, contemporary compositions, and world premiere opportunities. In addition to all scheduled classes, members of the choir are responsible for all scheduled before and after school dress rehearsals and performances throughout the year.
