GRADUATE-LEVEL MENTAL HEALTH INTERNS
Grace is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern originally from San Francisco, California. She is passionate about helping people build their resiliency, self efficacy, and ability to feel freedom in their choices. Grace strives to help students feel seen and empowered. She chose an internship in MLSD because of its holistic model of wellness and the opportunity to be part of a team of experienced mental health professionals.
Amy is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. During undergrad, Amy worked at Gonzaga’s Lincoln LGBTQ+ Resource Center and is particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ mental health. They look forward to building genuine counseling relationships and empowering students to increase their wellness, resilience, and confidence, no matter their challenges.
Catherine is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern, originally from Canada. She is a mom with a wide variety of life experiences with kids and professional pursuits. Catherine's own path has included bumps and heartaches, making it easier to bring empathy, compassion, and non-judgement to those she works with. She's honored to walk along students and community members, no matter what their journey looks like.
Jarred is a Marriage & Family Therapy Intern, originally from Florida. He chose an internship with the district because of his desire to support the community, knowing the big part school can play in a child’s wellbeing. Jarred wants all kids to feel like they have someone in their corner who listens and cares. Jarred enjoys reading, video games, hiking, running, and plays the violin.
Katie is a Marriage & Family Therapy Intern, originally from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She loves working with kids in past ministry and school settings and enjoys watching them grow through the hardships they face. Katie believes mental health should be accessible to anyone and was drawn to how MLSD takes a holistic approach to serve & connect with kids. Katie loves going for runs, rock climbing, fashion, and thrifting.
