Intervention/Enrichment Wednesday will have a number of potential looks this year.
Some will be an extension of traditional learning (mainly when class intervention might not be needed at the time).
Some willΒ be intervention where topics are retaught.
Some willΒ be assessment retakes.
Some may be a 'study hall' environment to allow students to complete and correct Independent Practice.
Alas, students - be an advocate for yourself. When you need help get it as there are lots of staff members to help you!!!
Potentially more important (and possibly contrary to what your understanding), making mistakes is expected. In fact, they are encouraged!!!Β Most of us can do a problem over and over once we have learned how to do it.Β However, true learning comes when we can use material we are comfortable with and then apply it to new situations.Β This is where mistakes tend to happen. This is because what we are used to seeing as a process/result might not be true when variables are altered, restrictions are made, or contrasting ideas are combined.Β Ultimately, this is is another reason for the sharing of ideas throughout the year as we have so many things to learn from one another!!!
