Interviews from 1929:
Meet the people between the ages of 80 to 104 being interviewed & recorded for the first time.
Fun facts put in perspective:
- Both men have traveled through time, they witness the before & after of invention such as the light bulb, the telephone, the television, the motor vehicle, the semi and automatic weapons, the planes, the highways (yes the highways) and so much more.
- They were 77 and 67 years old when the Titanic sank, 79 and 69 years old during the First World War and would have been 104 and 94 years old during the Second World War.
- They were 30 and 20 years old when Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
- You are watching a 1929 video in 2021 (92 years ago) of 2 men who participated in an event that took place 160 years ago.
- Until they were 32 and 22, Alaska was a Russian territory.
- They obviously witness first hand slavery. Like literally.
- When the oldest gentlemen were born in 1835, it was just 15 years ago that Napoléon died. When he grew up, there was still a lot of veterans still alive from the Napoleonic Wars and even the War of 1812.
- During their lifetime the United States wasn't even fully colonized yet, the West was particularly empty of Westerners.
- During their lifetime war was still wage against native Americans.
- They were 41 and 31 years old when Colonel Custer died at Little Big Horn and they were probably fan boys of his.
- They were 46 and 36 years old when Billy the Kid was killed.
- They were 73 and 63 years old when the FBI was created (imagine that, they lived in a time where the FBI didn't exist).
- Proper and authentic samurai still existed when these 2 gentlemen were born. Samurai were annihilated when they were 41 and 31 years old. Can you imagine living in the same period as samurai?
