In an update to the 2008 version of the National Coaching Report, in conjunction with the United States Center for Coaching Excellence, we are analyzing information from high school state associations, national governing bodies, and coaching associations regarding coach education requirements and certifications.
In an attempt to get a better understanding on the sport geography and structure in United States we are working in conjunction with the United States Center for Coaching Excellence to launch an interactive database of organizations that provide or support sport.
In a follow-up to Sheehy, Dieffenbach, and Reed (2019), we are completing a meta-analysis of sport psychology journal articles that discuss coaches or sport coaching.
This grant helped to fund a graduate assistant to oversee player and coach development in the Morgantown Hockey Association and WVU's Men’s D1 Hockey thus helping to build the grassroots base of hockey in Morgantown by collaborating with the community.
