24-25 MWA MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION 

Individual Academic All State

Criteria:

• Head Coach must be a current member of the Michigan Wrestling Association.

• Schools who use a graduated scale must adjust GPA’s to a 4.0 scale

  • Weighted Scale GPAs can NOT exceed a 4.0

• Cumulative G.P.A. must be taken from 7th semester report.

• Selection is not dependent on weight class.

• Each applicant will receive a certificate of recognition.

• The application must be complete by April 1st, 2025.

• Announcement of the teams will take place late April or early May.

Senior's Criteria:

• Minimum of a 3.5 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale (cumulative).  Adjust to 4.0 Scale if necessary!

• State Qualifier at any time during the wrestler’s career

Junior's Criteria:

• Minimum of a 3.6 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale (cumulative).  Adjust to 4.0 Scale if necessary!

• 24-25 State Qualifier

 Sophomore's Criteria:

• Minimum of a 3.7 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale (cumulative).  Adjust to 4.0 Scale if necessary!

• 24-25 State Qualifier

Team Academic All State

Criteria:

• Head Coach must be member in good standing with the MWA

• Must include 14 wrestlers who have competed on 4 dates of VARSITY competition.

  • ** If a teams entire roster is Below 14 Submit the GPA for the entire roster for consideration.

• Cumulative GPA of 14 wrestlers must be a minimum of 3.2.  

• Schools who have graduated scales must adjust all GPA’s submitted to a 4.0 scale.

  • Even a weighted GPAs can NOT exceed a 4.0
