Homeschooling Curricula that Lead to High Student Outcomes
During the Spring 2023 semester, we gathered achievement data (STAR 360 and CAASPP scores) for students from Cabrillo Point Academy, Mission Vista Academy, and Pacific Coast Academy. We determined which students scored “at or above” the grade-level expectations and then surveyed the HSTs of those students to develop a list of curricula that leads to high achievement or outcomes for our students (at least as measured by the standards-based assessments).Â
Of course, this list is not exhaustive. We understand that students learn in different ways, and your child may have reached high levels of achievement using materials not listed below. This reference is meant simply as a guide to share our in-house, educator-led research on materials that have led to standards mastery for our students.Â
For this project, we looked at curricular materials for 1,407 students in grades 3-8 and high school (at least one subject per student). While this document only covers these grade levels, many programs listed include options for younger students.Â
