1.   To uphold high standards in the building and construction industry by encouraging our members and associates to enhance their skills and practices.

2.   To promote the development of a component and a highly motivated workplace and to honor our obligations to the construction industry and the nation.

3.   To promote good artistry, integrity, and honorable practice in the trade or business of building and/or civil engineering contracting, and to settle disputed points of practice.

4.   To consider all questions affecting the interests of building and/or civil engineering contractors and, if necessary, to petition the government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and to promote and appoint deputations to procure and change the law relating to the practice or trade. 

5.   To print, publish, own periodicals, newspapers, books, or leaflets for the promotion of the IBI GROUP of Contractors.

6.   Divisions and Committees are how group members and associates work to meet the needs of the industry and the needs of group members and associates as a whole.

7.   IBI GROUP day-to-day administration of the group of contractors, plans functions and publications, and performs other related tasks.
