After the level 1~Beginner, divers will move up into the team levels. Each team level in the diving program has a set of skills, drills, and dives that each diver will learn. As the divers progress through these skills, they will move up into the next group until they are competing at the Junior Olympic level of diving. Every diver will progress at his/her own rate and will be coached at their skill level.
At this level divers, will already have a foundation of diving skills. They will begin working towards creating their first competitive list of dives. These dives are basic dives that they will continue to develop into a Novice competitive list of dives for their age. Divers on this level should expect to attend a few meets to begin to understand how a diving meet works and begin developing their competition readiness.
At this level, divers will have a basic Novice list of dives for their age group. These dives are determined by the requirements set by USA Diving and AAU. At this level the diver should be training more often and begin to build dives with a greater degree of difficulty. Novice Team divers should expect to compete at as many meets through the year as possible. The main goal of the Novice Team is to continue to build on the skills, drills, and dives that they have learned to gain enough dives to move to the Junior Olympic level of diving.
The Advanced Team is made up of divers that have, or are close to having, a full Junior Olympic list of competition dives and are serious about competing for the Mansfield Diving Team. These divers are required to compete regularly and attend the National circuit of diving meets through USA Diving and AAU.
Parent Responsibilities:
*Support your diver at all times.
*Help get them to practice on time and often.
All Parents are needed to help work at the meets, especially those hosted by the Mansfield Diving Team. Help is always needed with meet set-up, table workers, hospitality, and post meet clean up. Hosting meets can be a large undertaking. We need all athletes and their families to participate in organizing and running these events. The income from this meets allows us to keep our tuition low, pays for needed equipment and saves the individual families the added expense of traveling to other meet.
Athletes Responsibilities:

Therefore: Parents, friends and visitors are asked to stay in the spectator’s stands during all training sessions. Athletes are expected to wear loose fitting shorts or stretch pants and a t-shirt during dry-land training workout.
Competition Code of Conduct
When traveling with the team all team members will adhere to the code of conduct. The coaching staff and/or the chaperone is responsible for enforcing the code and will have the authority to impose penalties for infractions of the code. These penalties may include but are not limited to, a phone call to the parents, being scratched from an event or the meet, to being sent home immediately.
Divers must attend all team meetings, warm-ups and practices and events while at competitions.

Divers should be in bed and resting at a reasonable time at all competitions. Warm ups at meets are usually very early in the morning and rest is very important for good performance.

CHEER for your team mates.
Parent Coaching
You pay your money to a coach because he or she is qualified to do the job. Allow the coach to work effectively by granting him/her authority on the sport. Diving is a very technical sport, which should not be taught by those without specialized training. Diving is a unique sport in that all athletes must, with the help of their coaches, face and conquer considerable fears. The result is that our coaches will form a very close bond with and understanding of your child. This understanding gives our staff great insight into the motivation and discipline of your child.
