Meet the Counselor
Hello students & families of Madeley Ranch,
My name is Tracie Vickery, and I am super excited for the next school year! I moved to Montgomery with my family in April of 2021. My children are ages 21, 19, 14, and 13. My oldest, Colby, is in Huntsville at SHSU. My daughter, Lauren, is at HCU playing beach volleyball for her sophomore year. My two youngest boys are at MJH and MHS. When I am not at work or running to watch my kids in their activities, I love to sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and read a good book, go for a walk/hike while listening to music, or take a short trip to the beach.
I am going into my 15th year in education (13 were spent in Conroe ISD). I started my career as a special education teacher and after 3 years switched over to 4th grade language arts and social studies. I helped to open Suchma Elementary (K-6th) in 2019 as their school counselor. This will be my 6th year as a counselor, and I look forward to many more years in this role as it is truly my "dream job!" This is my second year at MRE.
It is such an honor that I will have the opportunity to serve all the students, families, and staff here at The Ranch. I am here to help meet the needs of students socially, emotionally, and academically. I will provide assistance to families in any way possible, so please reach out to me if there is anything your student is in need of (school supplies, backpacks, food assistance, etc.).
My goal is to be as visible around the school as possible, whether it is in classrooms doing lessons or helping students when they need me. I am already on campus preparing for the new school year, and I look forward to seeing you all soon!
Go Mustangs!
