Mr. Koch is excited to start his first year at Frank Seale Middle School this year! This will be his 8th year teaching.  He will be teaching the Honor Band, beginning double reeds, saxophone, french horn, and low brass classes.

Mr. Koch spent the last 3 years in Northwest ISD.  Prior to Northwest, he taught for 4 years in Prosper ISD.  Throughout his career, his ensembles have received consistent sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sightreading contests.  Mr. Koch also loves teaching jazz, as he has started and led jazz programs at each middle school he has taught at.  Most notably, the Reynolds Middle School Jazz Band in Prosper was the Invited Middle School Jazz Ensemble for the 2022 TMEA Clinic and Convention in San Antonio.

Mr. Koch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University, where he played oboe in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, saxophone in the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, and guitar in the University Jazz Ensemble.

Outside of school, Mr. Koch enjoys playing pickleball, softball, and going to Rangers games with his wife Monica, who is an elementary music teacher in Birdville ISD. The Kochs have 2 cats, Yoda and Kylo.

Mrs. Clark proudly joins the cub family here at Frank Seale as she kicks off her 7th year teaching! She will be leading beginner flute, clarinet, and trumpet classes as well as the Symphonic Band. Prior to Midlothian ISD, the most recent 3 years were served in Northwest ISD, and the first 3 years of her career were spent opening a brand new middle school in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. 

Mrs. Clark recently graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master of Arts degree, and she received her Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Wesleyan University. She is active in several professional organizations and performing ensembles.

Outside of her professional role, Mrs. Clark enjoys spending time with her family of 3 and 2 old but sweet pups. They are enthusiastic sports fans, avid travelers, supporters of musicals, and passionate about food and fitness.
