Mr. Koch is excited to start his second year at Frank Seale Middle School! This will be his 9th year teaching.  He will be teaching the Honor Band, Jazz Band, and all beginning brass classes.

Prior to FSMS Mr. Koch spent 3 years in Northwest ISD, and for 4 years in Prosper ISD.  Throughout his career, his ensembles have received consistent sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sightreading contests.  Teaching jazz is one of Mr. Koch's passions, as he has started and led jazz programs at each middle school he has taught at.  Most notably, the Reynolds Middle School Jazz Band in Prosper was the Invited Middle School Jazz Ensemble for the 2022 TMEA Clinic and Convention in San Antonio.

Mr. Koch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University, where he played oboe in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, saxophone in the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, and guitar in the University Jazz Ensemble.

Outside of school, Mr. Koch enjoys playing pickleball, softball, and going to Rangers games with his wife Monica, who is an elementary music teacher in Keller ISD. The Kochs have 2 cats, Yoda and Kylo.

Mrs. Sabrina Sanchez is entering her fourth year of teaching. Prior to being at Frank Seale, she spent the past three years at Young Women’s STEAM Academy in Dallas ISD. She focused primarily on teaching beginning woodwind classes as well as directing and assisting with ensembles.

She began her music journey playing clarinet in Duncanville ISD. Following high school, she earned her bachelor of music education from East Texas A&M University and soon after received her master of music from the University of Maryland. While at the University of Maryland, Sabrina performed with the Wind Ensemble for CBDNA and toured in Austria with the clarinet choir.

Outside of music, Mrs. Sanchez enjoys watching sports, playing board games and hanging out with her niece Ellie. Mrs. Sanchez resides in Dallas, TX with her husband Alex and pets, Dakota and Sailor.
