ALL elements on a wedding letterpress card can be moved, changed, and edited.
Wedding Letterpress cards do not have back-of-card printing, so we do not have the ability to add a logo.
Letterpress invitations come with Euro Flap envelopes.
For the main (invitation) envelopes, Standard designs are available, as well as a limited number of fancy designs, all in black ink.
For RSVP envelopes, only Standards designs are available, only in black ink as well.
RAP and RCP are digitally printed and can't be letterpressed.
For RSVP envelopes: Generally, we leave the font choice as is on RSVP envelopes. If the customer selected RAP for their invitation envelopes, you can match RSVP envelopes to the RAP, rather than the fonts used on the invitations, since envelope designs are so limited with letterpress cards. However, if the customer asks us to change the fonts on RSVP envelopes, we can.
The Wedding Letterpress swatch library is completely separate and different from the swatches used on Photo Letterpress and Luxury Letterpress cards.
Pantone swatches have the letter "U" in the name, and CMYK Bridge swatches have the letters "UP".
Customers have the option of choosing different colors for their design, but they're limited to choosing from Minted's Pantone Wedding Letterpress swatch library.
The color scheme listed under the order summary is the colorway, NOT necessarily the Pantone color swatch you should use in the design file.
You will need to masquerade as the customer to determine the correct number and color swatches to use.
Unlike foil products, letterpress orders don't need to be canceled or restarted to change colors.
If a customer requests a color change, the DA can make the adjustment as long as the new color request comes from the Minted Wedding Letterpress swatch library.
If the customer requests to add an additional color or remove a color: DAs cannot simply add an additional color - the order will need to be hotlisted and a financial adjustment applied. This follows the same process as backer fees.
You will always need to apply the Pantone color swatch in the design file, even if the colors look ok when you open it up in Illustrator.
Separate each color into individual layers
Name each layer with the Pantone Spot Color used in that layer
An editable text group must be saved for all text
the editable text layer must be locked, hidden and in the same exact placement as the outlined text
Guides can be kept at the bottom of one of the color layers
Make sure both the Overprint Fill and Overprint Stroke boxes are checked on the Attributes panel. (this is especially important for designs with overlapping colors)
Never use text sizes smaller than the Minted minimum guidelines. This is a must for letterpress cards
Add at least a 0.1 stroke to most fonts (0.2 or heavier stroke for thin or script fonts)
