Common DA Terminology
The following is a list of common acronyms used by Minted DAs and the Minted Operations Team, for internal use only. While you do not need to memorize these acronyms today, familiarity with Minted's internal acronyms is helpful on a day to day basis. These acronyms will grow more familiar as you gain experience working on customer orders.
DA: Design Associate. Created digital proofs for customers.
QC: Quality Control. Reviews the digital proofs created by DAs.
MBO: Minted Back Office. Internal website used to work on customer orders.
Proof: (V) To work on a customer’s order.
(N) A draft/round.
Round: How many proof rounds have been created by a DA.
WTP: Web to Proof. An editable design file created by MBO, matching the Customer Preview.
Note: If the WTP file does not match the Customer Preview, please file a Bug Report.
Customer Preview: A digital preview of the customer’s items, created during the ordering process.
Bug Report: A way of internally tracking and resolving bugs. We will look at bug reporting more in depth with our bug team.
RAP: Return Address Printing.
fRAP: (fancy) Return Address Printing, designed by community artists to coordinate with the main item.
RCP: Recipient Address Printing.
fRCP: (fancy) Recipient Address Printing, designed by community artists to coordinate with the main item.
CFT: Custom Foil Text. A foil upgrade which allows for fully customized foil designs.
PDP: Product Details Page. A customer facing landing page for each Minted product.
CU3/CU4/Customizer: The customer facing in-brower tool used to customize a design before placing an order. Minted is currently in the process of switching from CU3 and CU4.
AI: Adobe Illustrator.
INDD: Adobe InDesign.
PS: Adobe Photoshop.
SLA: Service Level Agreement. Minted’s estimated turnaround time for receiving a proof.
