Vision

Rufus King is the only high school in the district with a program designed to support and service students with visual impairments.

DHH - Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Rufus King is the only high school in the district with a program designed to support and service students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Autism

Comprehensive units which follow the Essential Elements to support and service students. Units also address communication, social skills, and daily living skills.

EBD

Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities - Behavior units to help teach students to self regulate their emotions and impulses to make them a more productive member of society upon graduation.

Cross Categorical

Connection between special education students and regular education teachers to make sure that the students are receiving the services and accommodations to achieve their IEP goals.

Speech

Speech therapy is provided to students with speech and language disorders that impact their success in the classroom. Disabilities include speech sound production, fluency, difficulty understanding or expressing language and social communication skills.
