Mathletes - Mr. Harmon - Mathletes is Rufus King’s competitive math club! We compete against other schools around the area and state in both in-person events at other schools and those that we do at King. We also compete in a national competition on an individual level. Over the past 15 years, there are only 4 schools in the Wisconsin Math League that have a better record than King. Aside from our competitions, we have meetings after school in which we explore interesting topics in math. The goal is to allow students to both build and showcase their knowledge, and to gain more appreciation for math. You do not have to be the top math student in your class to join Mathletes. All you need is an interest in math and a desire to learn more!

Rufus King Racers - Mr. Santiago - Rufus King students spend the second semester breaking down motorcycles and rebuilding them into flat track race bikes! Now having partnered with Royal Enfield Milwaukee, students are presented with the new challenge of transforming a new street motorcycle into a racing bike in contrast to restoring “farm finds” vintage motorcycles.
In 180 days, our students learn to weld, paint, design, fabricate, and race King’s very own motorcycle. Rufus King is one of two schools in MPS that host the program. And in our first year, the Rufus King Racers won the Iron Horse Hotels “Peoples Choice Award.”
Students learn trade, technical, and interpersonal skills that can better prepare them for life after high school. If you are interested in learning more, please follow the team on Instagram @rufuskingracers.
