Academic & Career Planning

ACP is intended to equip students and their families with the tools necessary to make more informed choices about postsecondary education and training as it leads to careers.

ACP is part of our vision for every student to graduate from high school college and career ready. That means students must be competent both socially and emotionally. We want our students to be strong critical thinkers, collaborate and solve real-world problems, and persevere when things aren’t quite going their way. When put together, it’s about making them productive adults with satisfying careers.

College Information

The Common Application is a single online college application form used by over 700 colleges and universities. Instead of filling out the same general information—like your address, GPA, and extracurricular— a dozen times, you only have to do it once.

Black Common Application

Students can apply to 52 of the more than 100 HBCUs by completing just one application: the Common Black College Application (CBCA). By completing the CBCA, you apply to numerous HBCUs without having to complete a separate application for each institution

A few of the well-known HBCUs included are Fisk University of Tennessee, Morgan State University of Maryland, Norfolk State University of Virginia, Tuskegee University of Alabama and Voorhees College of South Carolina.

Parchment is a platform designed to help schools provide you with the ability to request transcripts securely. Transcripts requested online are then sent to the colleges, universities, or scholarship funds that student selects.
