This week I had the privilege of interviewing Principal McDavitt. I asked her a number of questions and I am excited to share her answers! The first question I asked her was, "How long have you been the principal at Glover?" She said that she has been the principal at Glover for 10 years. and she has loved every minute! Before that, she was a second grade teacher and a fourth grade teacher! I also asked her "what her favorite part of being a principal was?" She said that hwe absolute favorite thing is to pop into a classroom and watch kids learn or walk down the hallway and see kids smile and say hi! Another question that I asked was who inspired her to become an educator? She said that her first grade teacher Ms. Hubbard was a big inspiration. She said that she wasn't sure about becoming a principal because she loved teaching kids so much. However, she said she is thankful because she teaches at a school with the BEST students EVER! She went on to say that her favorite part of Glover School is the students, teachers, and families are the best part. The people around her is what matters most to her! Lastly, She said that her old boss convinced her to get her doctorate. She admitted she didn't know if she could do it at first but said "hard things take time... but they are worth it!"Â It was awesoem to interview Principal McDavitt!
