Preschool

Preschool teachers use the Creative Curriculum, which is a thematic, developmentally appropriate curriculum that encompasses multiple subject areas.  Early literacy skills -  including language and vocabulary, phonological awareness, knowledge of the alphabet, concepts of print, emergent writing skills, and more - are infused throughout the school day.

Teachers in Preschool also teach foundational phonemic awareness skills using the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum in order to teach and strengthen student understanding of letter and sound recognition and language awareness.
