8/7/25 Correspondence from Ms. Brianna in Google Classroom
Good afternoon!
Just a reminder that I will not be here tomorrow. You have two skills to practice in IXL, your journal entry, and a worksheet reviewing prefixes, roots, and suffixes. These need to all be completed before you leave, and you will receive a grade.
Monday I am checking your journal entries for this week, and you will also take your vocabulary test for week 1. I am also checking your signed syllabus Monday--this will be your only "free" grade for me this semester. I would take advantage of it.
You should find the assigned IXL skills on your recommendation wall. These skills that I've starred for you go along with the stories in StudySync that we looked at today.
Journal topic:
Choose a song that means something to you. What’s the message of the song, and why does it resonate with you?
Grade 9 IXL skills:
--Use context to identify the meaning of a word
--Suggest appropriate revisions
Grade 11 IXL skills:
--Compare passages for tone
--Use dictionary entries to determine correct usage
This info will also be written on the board in our classroom for class tomorrow.
Have the best day and a terrific weekend!
-Ms. Bri
