Health & Safety Projects

The largest component of the proposed Referendum contains a number of critical health and safety projects at all of our 50-plus-year-old buildings. These improvements include fire and burglar alarm upgrades, a district wide communication system, as well as restroom renovations and air conditioning units that will enhance learning environments for all students.

Health & Safety Projects to be completed in Summer 2017:

  • Ed Center Roof and Middle School Gym Roof construction
  • HS Chair Lift Replacement
  • Phase I Restroom Upgrades: Glenwood/South Mountain/Wyoming/Middle School
  • Phase I window A/C Units: Hartshorn/Deerfield/South Mountain (Units installed in buildings that do not require electrical work)
  • Communication System Upgrade


2018:

  • Fire and Burglar Alarm Upgrades (Current fire and burglar alarms remain active until the new systems are operational)
  • Electrical upgrades for Phase II window A/C Units at Glenwood and Wyoming Schools
  • Phase II A/C units installed
  • Phase II Restroom Upgrades: Deerfield/Hartshorn/High School
